  • When using VrayDecal, the GI is generated from the underlying object, not the VrayDecal material

    Hello,

    Just noticed something.

Say I have a really saturated purple base object, such as a floor, I then apply a vraydecal on top, which is say grey, then any objects that sits on the floor will have a purple GI bounce, rather than a grey bounce. The GI isn't taking into consideration the grey vraydecal.

The vray decal is visible and correct in the reflections.

    Hi suzanne_doherty,

There is a Decal for glossy/GI option in the Advanced Render settings, it is off by default for performance reasons, that you can enable and this should sort the GI bounces:https://drive.google.com/file/d/1jk7...usp=drive_link

    Best regards,
