  • High polygon model doesn't render

When I export the model from Max using the animation link, the model exports and the animation panel shows up as usual but once I hit render nothing happens. The progress bar appears and vantage shows that it's linked but no frames will render, when I cancel the animation the screen switches from black to the model I exported. I recently upgraded from the previous version of Vantage to 2.4.0, the previous version was able to render out this model. I've tried exporting a .vrscene but it's incredibly slow compared to the link, slow as in it takes hours to export as opposed to a few seconds. I'd really like some advice.

Hi, are you able to render a simple scene, for example a box and a light? Do you have any errors in your log file?
Could you archive you project and send it for review?

Yes I can render simpler scenes, the log file has no errors but it has a ton of warnings, I've attached the log. Unfortunately I can't share the scene because of a NDA.

What about the Vantage log? %APPDATA%/Chaos Group/Vantage/debug_log.txt (overwritten per session)

I get this occasionally too, but it will work after a couple of attempts, or restarting Max, Vantage, or even the entire PC.

Sometimes I scrub through the time line in Max, then try to render the animation and it's fine then.
