  • Glass artifacts when rendering animation

    Hi there!

I have rendered an interior scene, and everything went fine, except for the last clip. The problem is clearly visible when viewing the video full screen.

As you can see, the glass is "shimmering". The first frame of the animation doesn't have this issue, but all the following ones do. I have already tried to change every setting at a time, and nothing seems to solve it
The intensity of the shimmering decreases when the refraction bounces are lowered, but that's not an ideal situation.
Turning off the light doesn't make a change, either.
I tried all the denoisers, including the legacy mode, to no avail.

    What can I do?

This looks like motion blur artifacts. Try rendering without it - it doesn't seem necessary for this shot anyway.

You're right, it was the motion blur causing the problem. Thank you very much!

Did you disable motion blur in the camera side panel or in the offline render dialog? You need to do it in the render dialog, it's an overriding setting.

I wrote the last comment unaware that I had to disable it in the render dialog. I then realized it was a override, but the comment was already posted :P
