  • D3D Error

    hi
I have version 2.7.1 of Vantage.
For a few days I have not been able to generate high resolution renderings (stereo 8192x8192): the program crashes giving a D3d error that seems to be related to memory problems. I have an RTX 4090 and I don't think it's this: I attach some images, including the GPU-Z screen. I updated the card drivers and the BIOS without success.

Were you rendering the same scene with the same resolution and settings successfully before?

Sometimes memory allocation fails even when task manager or GPU-Z reports gigabytes of free memory. This could happen when a large block of memory is needed and the free memory is fragmented into smaller blocks.

There is a small chance that there is some additional information available in the log file. You can get it after a crash (it gets overwritten every time you run Vantage) from %APPDATA%/Chaos/Vantage/debug_log.txt
