Vantage and Vray hair mtl not working

hi there,

does the vray hair material only work with vray fur? because I have a groom made of splines (edit polys) And the hair stays black. The presets are not working.

It is probably me that is doing something wrong

Does it work in V-Ray ? Can you attach a scene, so we can test it ?
