Dear Chaos Vantage team,
After 2 months of constant use of Vantage for archviz I have one set of suggestions that would help a lot our workflow:
1. the same way you save camera, you could save with a button the current state of lights in the scene and in the timeline to add the lights animation as a third bar, so that you can render light animation.
2. I am working with 2 GPUS (2 3090s) and when rendering a sequence i see no difference at all in the time that each frame is rendered. So i decided to create one vantage shortcut for each gpu. This way i can keep working on the scene while on a second vantage running I render sequence. But the problem comes when I want both vantage scenes to render sequence then one is slowing down significantly. (like 4 times slower to render each frame)As soon as I pause sequence rendering of one of the scenes then the other goes back to normal rendering. If you can solve this or to make two gpus giving obvious results like half time to render a frame.
3.in 3ds max if possible to add one button (script) that saves selected and brings to currently running vantage. Animation selected as well if possible.
4.more control of post production like you have in corona or vray frame buffer.
5.volumetric fog. the current fog added is mostly destroying the image instead of adding these beautiful effects you can achieve with volumetric for or aerial perspective effect.
6.In User interface if you can expand and keep expanded the properties of cameras that now you need to click the button and then change for intance the dof properties. Previously with project lavina workflow was faster and more intuitive cause you could change all properties without extra clicks.
7.when i change camera aspect ration in a scene and i save the scene and then reopen the camera ratio goes back to default. the same about render sequence settings.
8. often I work on one pc on a vray scene in Vantage, I create the camera transition , I set up the lighting as I like and then I want to save it online and send it to another pc to render. When i open to that other pc, HDRI might be missing, textures not found if I had not saved archiv from max so that I have a folder called maps in the same folder as the vrayscene. so if you can create a button in Vantage that can package the whole scene with maps and setting and HDRIs that it is zipped or not so that we can move easily Vantage scenes to network pcs and render long animation sequences.
9.on environment ligths if we can change contrast of hdri. (like the gamma as you can do in vray HDRI)
10.I bring here one bug, which is that in complex scenes after some time working on a scene the possilbility to move select rotate scale gets disabled and I cant get it back unless i restart Vantage.
11. materials tab is currently not functional. if possible to either add material preview or to be able to pick material from selected object.
Thank you very much in advance for your consideration
