  • Batch Render of cameras

Would love to see a Batch Render option added to the Render High Quality Snapshot... dialogue so that we can export all cameras as individual images. This would be great to have along with a per camera set of settings for resolution, geometry visibility, light states (geo-located sun position), etc

Batch rendering and state sets have already been requested (multiple times) and planned. These are among the features we plan to implement soonest.

Great to hear. Im new to Vantage, and excited by the potential. Batch rendering and command line exposure to render managers like Thinkbox Deadline is number one on our wishlist. Keep up the great work.

You're lucky -- we've just released 1.5.0 with command line support. See vantage_console.exe --help

Hello, could you insert a video tutorial on using the Batch render via console.exe?
I can't quite understand how it works and, above all, if it is possible to use the batch to render more animations.

It's pretty similar to how you use the vray.exe standalone renderer. You give it a scene file, an output image file and some settings and optionally a camera name. If you don't specify a frame range it will render a single image (IIRC vray.exe might still render an animation in such case if the scene file contains a frame range. But Vantage won't do that).

If you want to render multiple images or sequences or scenes, just script multiple calls to vantage_console. Each run will auto-close when the render is complete, so they will run in sequence. You could also run several instances in parallel (from multiple command prompts), for example if you set each one to run on a different GPU... and if you have enough RAM
