  • render animation live link using Vantage UI

    Dear Vantage team
In my architectural workflow, when working with animation I usually use render animation through live link using vantage UI.
The reason is that it gives so much more options compared to exporting the scene to vantage.
Unfortunately the setup of this amazing tool is not as powerful as rendering sequence from inside Vantage.
Main reason is that it does not follow the changes you have done in Vantage, regarding using HDRI texture or physical sky and intensity, HDRI position and intensity or and instead keeps Max settings.
This is very unfortunate cause changing parameters in Vantage is much much easier and faster compared to finding the sun in Max ,changing its rotation , or finding the dome in Max , make it follow rotation change HDRI from Cosmos ......
The ultimate workflow for architectural viz where ligthing plays huge role, woudl be that you live link your scene with Vantage and then load fast different HDRI in Vantage play with rotation and intensity and once you found the right balance , you can save vantage scene and when you render through live link it should keep these settings.
    That will be very important
Thank you very much for your consideration

PS. Maybe a solution could be that in Vray light lister Vray team can add in the parameter a way to rotate the HDRI inside the dome,or rotate the dome and HDRI follow the rotation. The same for the sun if VRay can add parameters to fast change altitude and heigh.
Can you please pass this request to VRAY team

Vray dome itself supports rotation and drives HDRI map rotation
This function is "lock texture to icon"
At present, the design of vantage development team is reasonable
3dsmax parameters should be given priority in real-time connection. Unless this feature is unique to vantage.

For real-time links, the parameters in vantage are preferred. I feel that many functions cannot be developed in time, because they need to finish vantageui before development.
The advantage of real-time link is that it can be quickly presented through vantage through the functions already supported by 3dsmax or Vray itself.
Maybe my description is inaccurate. But the current workflow is very easy. I just hope vantage can support more functions of 3dsmax and Vray as soon as possible so that I can do more through real-time links

What I want to express is that it is correct to give priority to 3dsmax and Vray in real-time links. Otherwise, import the scene into vantage.
The vantage team chose a compatible approach. So they can support a lot of 3dsmax deformation animation in a short time.
