can you please make it possible through live link to still be able to manipulate the azimuth and altitude of the sun from within vantage, which is much more intuitive and fast to set up the perfect lighting scenarion , compared to moving sun in max.
if you can make it even default system to always include a sun and physical sky in vantage even if max does not include a vray sun

Real time link should give priority to the setting of 3dsmax
