Focus camera on selection shortcut

sometimes it is difficult to move the camera to the desired position

We have this shortcut. Go to "Edit->Mouse and Key shortcuts" to see or edit the key bindings. There are presets for 3ds Max, Maya, Sketchup users. If it didn't work for you maybe the input focus was not on the viewport (click on it).
