    Dear Vantage team
camera clipping in vantage is fantastic for archviz , cause you get to understand your project in a much deeper level throught sections, you see how different spaces of a buidling interconnect.
It is very nice as well to showcase to the client.
Can you please expand this capability with clipping plane, xyz, indipedent from the camera. This way you then cut section your project and you use camera to navigate and explain transition spaces through walkthrough. This way you show top plans as well.
I believe as a tool this will unleash great possibilities and I think that most of the technology is there as soon as you have achieved the camera clipping.

I think we can easily modify the renderer to support this for camera rays. Most of the work would be to add a gizmo actually
It would be more complicated if it has to affect secondary rays or if it's a mesh like v-ray clipper. But I think the basic camera clipping plane would suffice for most uses, right?

Do you need object include/exclude lists for this feature, i.e. the ability to specify objects that won't be clipped ?
Also how many clipping planes do you think you would need ?

We're busy now with an animated clipping mesh cutting through building corner - client wants to see wall/floor/roof sectional details.
We also have to exclude certain interior details.
Clipping mesh is a specific form to show necessary details.

Would have been great to render this with Vantage, but not supported. Also slate roofs so need displacement.

Doing animation in Vray - 100hrs render time for 1500 frames.

We can most likely do the exclude lists, but a mesh clipper is much more complicated than a plane one.
What kind of shape is your clipping mesh, isn't it possible to substitute it with several planes ?

Also slate roofs so need displacement.
A slate roof can probably be done with instancing and it even might look better than displacement.
But I don't know if a suitable plug-in exists for easily creating them, maybe RailClone ?

Actually as a beginnnig three planes xyz would be more than enough, or the possibility with a slider to rotate the plane. For now even no exclude, include list is needed.
This tool will give great features to archviz films
