  • Zdepth in livelink

    Hello,

As far as I can tell, the current zdepth pass is default to 0 (near), 500 (far) values, and can't be adjusted.

Any chance we can have control over the depth? Either with values, or something linked to the camera, maybe target, focus, etc?

    Hi suzanne_doherty,

We already have such a request logged in our system under LAV-1545. I cannot give you an ETA but I will try to raise its priority.

    Best regards,

We don't use this 500 value from Max. The maximum depth is based on the size (bounding box) of the scene.

Thanks. I see the logic in this, but in theory is doesn't work too well, as the scene size is often too big to use as a zdepth guide. Think rendering an interior or a product, the DOF / zdepth would probably only include the immediate set, not the entire scene.
