  • fast playtime of deforming vetices animations

    Dear Vantage team,
For the last few weeks I am experimenting hard on the best way to bring HD animated trees in VAntage taht would render fast and efficient as everything else in Vantage.
The solution has been speedtree. The problem is the following.
Speedtree previews amazingly detailed wind animations of heavy tree models,2 million polygons) extremely fast and easy, but when you export in Max as allembic or fbx point cache, then Max viewport is lagging while playing the animation.
What is even worse though is Vantage, which renders extreemly well and fast each frame but usually takes around 4 seconds to move from one frame to the next ( which finally adds huge time to the rendering and cancels actually the benefits of Vantage)
Can you please check for yourselves speedtree and how did they manage to solve this particular problem and try to solve it for Vantage

Here you can find a link of how nicely speedtree wind animation works

I would like to add to this request a broader perspective:
Vantage has been the best software ever existed to handle huge polycount scenes, both on how fast you load them, but how fast you render as well.
It is a pitty that it lacks the capability to preview animated deforming objects equally fast and efficient, specially when you see software that does this like speedtree.
