Could you elaborate on how the way you use the Distance texture? Could you use the V-Ray Dirt instead? Both textures are likely to cause significant performance loss and I would like to evaluate if we can delay the support of the Distance texture.
Ok, it is possible. Its little bit more work but seems ok. Little difference is that distance tex work with object set as non renderable. Dirt doesnt.
1 - distance
2 - dirt
3 - full road
You can see only difference in the texture for effect. In Dirt bitmap texture somehow remove the effect even in the center where the effect is strongest. Distance bitmap texture doesnt do that.

You can try to set the object's visibility to a really small value f.e 0.001. The reason why dirt doesn't work is because it reacts to objects exported in the scene. If the object is set to non renderable then it doesn't get exported at all.

Can you try to offset the object that generates the car marks a little from the road surface so that there is a very slight gap between them and they do not touch or intersect each other?
Please try the aforementioned suggestions and tell me if it works for you?
