We've been testing Vantage in our studio, and while it delivers impressive results, we still find ourselves relying on D5 Render and Twinmotion for most projects. The reason? Speed.
Right now, Vantage's ray tracing produces nice images, but it remains too slow for rendering walkthroughs and animations efficiently. Other tools, like Twinmotion and D5, allow users to switch to a faster global illumination method (like Lumen) when speed is the priority. This enables us to render full 1-2 minute animations in just 15 minutes—something that is simply not possible in Vantage
If Vantage offered an additional GI mode optimized for speed, it would be a game changer. Users could toggle between full ray tracing for maximum realism and a faster GI solution when needed. This flexibility would make Vantage a true all-in-one tool, reducing the need to jump between software.
We love what Vantage is capable of, but without a faster GI option, it's hard to fully integrate it into our workflow. Please consider this—many of us would make Vantage our primary rendering tool if it had this feature!
