Hello!

Can I buy V-Ray render node for €250 and start using it straight away? No dongle or weird ancient crap? Also if I'm planning on using it mainly for Blender, are there any other obstacles than getting the standalone version (Render node?) and using it with the Blender-Vray build?

Also.. should I buy V-Ray NEXT or the other one? Thanks.

V-Ray Licensing is currently available on our Online licensing system - this means that if it is not necessary to have a dongle to use V-Ray.

Beside the installation of Blender with V-Ray additions and V-Ray Standalone, you will need to have the latest version of the Chaos Group License Server installed - you can download it from here:
https://download.chaosgroup.com/license-server

The latest builds of V-Ray for Blender will work with V-Ray Next Standalone. Additionally a V-Ray Next Render node licenses (required to run V-Ray Next Standalone) will also allow you to use V-Ray 3.0 Standalone due to the backward compatibility of the license.
