  • Vray for Houdini - License Issues

While trying out the Vray for Houdini Beta

Which says it does not need a license, I get a license error when trying to render. I can't find any documentation on this. As well is following the install instructions

I noticed there is a standalone license server app I will try installing that as well

You need to have v-ray licence server running and online licencing activated. You can check that by going to this address in your browser "http://localhost:30304"

Also you need to register/subscribe to the beta, so your account will get a licence(which gets pushed to you trough above mentioned online licencing)

Is the license issue resolved? As Peter said above - you need to apply for the Beta to receive Beta licenses.
