Not really, we're just restructuring the download filters. Download restrictions that were originally implemented to assist people in downloading the correct versions, but since they created some problems they will be replaced by filters in the download sections.

Sadness! I've been hoping that I can use my V-Ray License that I use with Max also for C4D, or it sounds like I will be able to eventually? I've been considering only Redshift for that very reason that their license will work with any supported software so I was thinking of that for when I use C4D on occasion but I'd much rather stick with my own V-Ray license if I could.

A universal license as standard would be a *major* selling point for V-Ray.

This is great news! if Vray will be able to do what RS and octane do. Looking forward to it

I agree with everyone, the value of letting indie artists use our V-Ray license in any app would give many people that have not yet joined team V-Ray a great reason to get on board.

Now for a crazy dream... a streamlined standalone version of V-Ray for ZBrush, & Substance, a one click to rendering solution like Keyshot bridge but none of that slowness. Imagine something light and agile like Marmoset Toolbag 3 but with all the V-Ray goodness.

V-Ray having both deep production capabilities but also easy to use license transfer between apps and rapid minimal effort visualization solutions would dramatically increase our ranks.

The only reason I got myself a Redshift license recently was that the license is app agnostic, had I the choice I would have no real reason or desire to be using anything other than my V-Ray license. I think it's a huge selling point since many people use multiple 3D apps.

Heck, I'd install V-Ray in my shoes if I could, I'm certain I'd be faster than before the install, I'd have the default denoiser on at all times, clean up some of that walking talking noise in the workplace.

Just checking in to see if there has been any movement in this regard? ie, a universal license that work across various dcc apps....
