  • Vray bundle question - when working in different applications

    Hello,
why aren't there any bundles of Vray for different softwares?
For example if you could use it in 2 or 3 different applications, but can't afford it? (e.g.Maya, Max, Unreal...)
Especially because I would never never use more than 1 application at the same time.
    Thanks for reply

Each plugin has own development team and Chaos dedicates more resources to plugins like Maya which has a massive user base
You will see Vray for Maya ahead of most other plugins on features(some features will be specific to Maya plugin only) and usually they get newer updates first. This is pretty good for Maya customers
Something like Redshift offers cross-platform licenses, you will see that overall progress of all plugins is very close and they get updated at the same time
So each system has its own advantages and disadvantages
I own Vray in 5 different platforms, Max/Maya/C4D/Modo/Houdini .. total of 14 licenses
Could have probably saved money if there is cross-platform option, but honestly I don't mind much because of how each plugin is unique in a way
Would be nice if there is a discount maybe, but not sure how this would work considering that Vray for Unreal/C4D/Houdini are subscription only while other plugins has perpetual options

    Best,
