I have several jobs in backburner queue. Some of the jobs are causing "could not obtain license" -errors while the others are rendering correctly. Yet the jobs are created on same workstation and that workstation renders the jobs fine alone. I have a sort of a deadline tomorrow for this little walk around, so I would very much like to use all the rendering servers I have.

Could you please first open the web browser and type into the address "localhost:30304" in order to check if your licenses is enough and the same as the amount of your render slave machines? Also please check if the V-Ray client license settings is set correctly to the machines where this issue appears:
https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...cense+Settings
Also please confirm if you are able to rednder without Backbburner, but only V-Ray DR? If you can share more infromation of the amount of your machines, your username and screenshots of the issue and V-Ray license server, V-Ray versions installed and 3ds Max version it would be best. You can also write us an e-mail at "support@chaosgroup.com" and provide us with the above sensitive information and link to this forum thread, so we can help you further with your issue. Thank you.

Thanks, I wrote to the support and they suggested a teamviewer session with me. I don't know when I have time to arrange that. Localhost license server is version 5.1.2. V-Ray is 3.7.01 and Max 2020. On localhost, it says license count is negative -1 (2 in use, where's the other?). Why is the count negative and why it shows 2 licenses in use? As far as I know, I'm using only one license in one workstation. However on Render nodes there's 5 licenses available and the render nodes are refusing to render this one and the most urgent job. It render fine other bb entries, those less important scenes.
I can render the scene in question without any problems in Max UI.

In the first place, we recommend you update your V-Ray license server up to version 5.2.3 (https://download.chaosgroup.com/?platform=47&product=48), after the update if the same negative values appear, please make sure to send us a screenshot of it. Also please make sure to tell us your username and if you are able to provide as much more information in reply to your last e-mail, maybe we can find a solution and help with the proposal without doing a Team Viewer remote session.

It's possible that a specific machine has a problem connecting to the license server. Please message us at "support@chaosgroup.com" and we'll look into it.
