  • Is it possible to have two different version of vray?

    Hi,

I am wondering if it's possible to keep vray next for 3dsmax 2019 and install vray5 to 3dsmax 2021. I need to test some scene with 3dsmax 2021 and vray5, but still I need to use 3dsmax 2019 with vray next. Is it possible? If not, after finishing test max 2021 with vray5, can I go back to vray next? I mean, can I just uninstall vray5 and reinstall vray next?

    Thanks.

Yes, you can install V-Ray Next for 3ds Max 2019 from the link below:

You can also install in parallel V-Ray 5 for 3ds Max 2021 from the link below:

They both will work together without any issues.

Hello, does it mean you can keep two versions under the same license?
I currently have permanent licenses of vray next and want to make the update to vray 5 but I need to be able to render some scenes currently in production in vray 4 while doing some tests on 5 before deploying it the whole studio.
(I don't want to keep the vray 4 license in the end just update it)
