  • Render V-Ray Standalone for Blender 3.0

I bought V-Ray Standalone (for Blender) a while ago, now I wanted to ask how I can render my finished projects with it in Blender 3.0, since I can't get it to work somehow or find a tutorial for it.
Thanks a lot for your help

In order to use V-Ray in Blender you will need to download Blender with included V-Ray addon,V-Ray Standalone, and V-Ray license server from the links below:

    Blender with V-Ray:
    https://nightlies.chaosgroup.com/main#/blender/20191024
V-Ray Standalone could be downloaded here(your V-Ray Standalone should be 3.x version according to your V-Ray Render Node license):
    https://download.chaosgroup.com/?product=47&platform=47

    V-Ray license server:
    https://download.chaosgroup.com/?platform=47&product=48

You can find more instructions on our documentation web page below:
    https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...ck+Start+Guide

Note: Please make sure to activate your V-Ray license on the web page - 127.0.0.1:30304

After the installation of the V-Ray license server, make sure to open the web page "localhost:30304" and click on Online licensing>Enable and sign in with your account. This way your V-Ray Render Node license will be activated and you will be able to work with V-Ray in Blender and render.
Let me know if any further instructions are needed.

Hello thank you very much for your help!

I have now installed everything according to your instructions, but when I now open
Blender 3.0, it always jumps back to the old version of Blender 2.79.
How can I install V-Ray in Blender 3.0 and render the file?

      Thanks for your help.

        Hello,
At this point, V-Ray comes only as a package included in Blender. We don't have a separate plugin to install in Blender. The latest version of V-Ray with Blender included you can find in the link below:
        https://nightlies.chaosgroup.com/main#/blender/20191024

Thank you very much for your help.
I have understood that so far. I have a Blender 3.0 project. When I want to open this project in Blender 2.79 (with V-Ray addon) it won't open, more precisely it opens a blank scene.
What possibility do I have to render my Blender 3.0 project with V-Ray?

Thank you for your question, is it possible to search and check in the following V-Ray for Blender section:

            Thank you.

Sorry but that does not help me. I need to know how to render a file from Blender 3.0 with V-Ray. I have not found any help in the forum.

                Hi Thomas,

You could use Blender 3.0 to model your scenes but then you could export your models to V-Ray for Blender (2.7), set the materials, and finally render with V-Ray or our Chaos Cloud rendering service.

Please note that although we had considered this, currently there is no implementation of V-Ray for Blender 3.0.

Keep both Blender versions open, v3.0 and v2.79, then copy/paste your objects from Blender 3.0 to Blender 2.79.
