License server connection

  • License server connection

    We have 2 PCs that are no longer able to connect the localhosted serever to online servers. I have tried to burrow a license to load offline but it won't show that it has accepted it. I have reinstalled multiple times, both the full vray and the licence server. Both PCs can reach all other resoureces and there is a successfull tracert to ols.chaosgroup.com from the PCs as well. These both were working as of yesterday and then stopped midday. The license doesn't expire until 2023. Active product refernce number: 77BC74197D Is there anything we can do to get up and running again?

      Hello David,
      Could you please try to re-install the V-Ray license server by following the below instructions :
      1. Please uninstall the V-Ray license server from your Start menu>Control Panel> Add remove programs
      2. Make sure to delete the folder C:\Program Files\Chaos Group\VRLService
      3. Go to the folder "C:\Program Files\Common Files\ChaosGroup" and delete all files and folders except "vrlclient.xml" file and the folder "ChaosCosmos" , if they exist, they are needed. Please download and install the latest V-Ray Online license server 5.5.5 from our website:
      https://download.chaosgroup.com/?platform=47&product=48

      After the installation is completed, please check if the V-Ray license server status page "127.0.0.1:30304" is available and you are able to click "Online licensing" >Sign In and enter your credentials.
      If any issue appears, please send us a screenshot of it and another screenshot of the web page again "127.0.0.1:30304" and please confirm if you have a proxy or firewall in your local machine and network that might be stopping the connection to our backend server?

      If the above suggestion is not helping it will be best if you open a support ticket in our system, so we can make a remote connection if needed:

      Please make sure to choose "Technical assistance starting the product" during the submitting of theRequest Type.

        Stefan,

        Thank you for replying. We have followed the instructions and continue to not show any connection. I will attach screenshots of this attempt. We have a ticket in #30809. We have confirmed there have been no changes to firewall policy since this last worked. I have also attached the ping to your ols.chaosgroup.com above to verify we can get to it.

        We are at a stand-still and open to any further suggestions.

            Copy, thank you for the reply. Now we have a connection but since the old license server was deleted and we had tried to borrow the license for offline it appears to be locked to the old server. Can you remove the old server with the borrowed license, so we can have it available again? I have attached the 2 old servers in red boxes that are no longer needed, please remove both.

            I will also reply to the email.

              I actually think there is an issue with the SSL certificate of the server, when I simply open https://ols.chaosgroup.com in Google Chrome I get an "invalid certificate" warning...
