You don't need a dongle, the Trials use online licensing. After applying for the trial, make sure when installing V-Ray 3 to install also the Online license server. It can be downloaded from https://download.chaosgroup.com/down...dalone-451-adv
After that navigate in your browser to http://localhost:30304 and log in with your username - https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...lineActivation

Please make sure to - Right click> Open the installation file of V-Ray Standalone and just follow the installation steps. After V-Ray Standalone installation is completed, please follow the below mentioned steps in our documentation page:
https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...d+Line+Options
https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...e+Command+Mode
For example: Open the "Terminal" application in your web browser and navigate to the folder where V-Ray Standalone is installed:
cd /Applications/ChaosGroup/V-Ray/Standalone_for_mavericks_x64/bin/mavericks_x64/gcc-4.2
and then please start V-Ray Standalone in order to see the list of commands described above in our documentation page as well:
./vray
Let me know if the above suggestions helped you.
