License Server erratic since version update

Our license server has become very erratic since updating to v5.1.2 - it's fine when first started, then falls over after a few minutes to half an hour, refusing to load license data, then eventually giving up altogether and just saying "ENABLE ONLINE LICENSING or insert a hardware license dongle"

Tried downgrading to 5.1.1 but same issues.

Restarting the vrlservice fixes it for a while.

We have a mix of Online and Offline licenses. Dongle checks out fine in the Wibu control panel. Turning off Firewall doesn't help.

Got a dead render farm and bunch of artists who can't work consistently. Painful.

(Windows 10 x64 host for vrlservice.)

Please send us the logs from the license server to support@chaosgroup.com - the logs can be collected from http://localhost:30304/logs/download

Afterwards please uninstall the current version of the license server (Control Panel -> Programs and Features)
Then delete the folder "C:\Program Files\Common Files\ChaosGroup" and install and activate this version instead:

If you still experience issues with it too please send us the newly generated logs from it too.

Thanks Mihail. Had to get things sorted in the hurry, so I shifted the license service to a new computer, and it's been fine. Presumably a clean reinstall would have fixed it, based on that.

If you're still interested in the logs from the old server, I can send them in.

I am glad that you were able to find a workaroud.

Please send us the logs from the license server that had issues. This will help us identify the cause of the problem and prevent it from occuring in future releases.
