  • SketchUp failed to checkout V-Ray GUI license

I've been running V-Ray for SketchUp for a couple of years now without licensing problems and has been running fine. Today and for the the first time I get an error message 'failed to checkout V-Ray GUI license'.
I have read on the forum others having the same problem and I've followed advice by reinstalling the license server, however without resolution and I still cannot access V-Ray.

Why it is that V-Ray has been running without this problem and now out of the blue it stops working. In despair I'm reaching out to the community for a fix to this extremely inconvenient issue.

    Thank you.

What do you see if you try browsing to http://localhost:30304?

Is it possible your license server was pointing to an IP address and now that address has changed? If it's pointing to localhost that's probably not the issue.

        Hi Ivan

What I see is 'No Licenses Available' when I browse to the link you sent me. I'll follow your instructions you emailed me and see what happens.

        Thank you.

Hi support... I have the same issue

I work on an MAC (BigSur) with Skecthup pro 2021and Vray 5, still have my Skecthup Pro 2019 working without Vray because I installed for 2021, I guess.

On http://localhost:30304 server everything alright, but on SkecthupPro 2021 still have the message Failed to checkout V-Ray gui license.

            Could you please help me
            Thanks in advanced
