I own 14 licenses and 31 render nodes on 2 accounts, on the main machine where I borrowed the Maya licenses using 5.1.2
I was able to render without issues during the outage, I only got notified by others on Modo Skype chat that the server is down.

The Auto-renew switch was removed in 5.2.2
They say it should be on by default now, but offline licensing is actually broken
Here is how,
borrow your offline licenses >> disconnect your Wifi or network cable >> Open Max and do a test render, it should render fine
Now connect your Wifi/cable , then disconnect >> Now try to render in Max, you will get licensing errors
I tried this on few machines, I never got offline licensing to work with 5.2.2

I checked and it works. But yesterday support changed the proxy settings from none to http proxy, so I guess that is what one has to do to make it work in general? dont know anything about the details.

Tried this several times - everything is fine for me and borrowed license is working as expected. Looks like there is an issue on your side. Have you tried to address support about that?

I've tried on several machines, I've never been able to get it to work with 5.2.2
Last time I checked was last week,
Funk contacted support and they used team viewer and installed 5.1.2 on his machine, for offline licensing to work

Maybe try disconnecting your internet few times, it will eventually give you an error..

Yeah, it is 5.2.2
I tried about 4 times to connect/disconnect.
Will let you know if I will meet this issue. After yesterday outage I am moving to constant borrowing of the license

Right 15 minutes after your post my offline license went...somewhere. Just randomly switching on and off. Now it's available, in a minute - it's not.

The license seems to be successfully borrowed when I look at it server - side. Did you get a license error when using it?

Well it says I have the license borrowed, but suddenly it just goes off. In about 2-3 minutes it's on again. I see that by material editor in 3dsmax - all slots go black, in about 2-3 minutes I close it and re-open - and I see materials again.
Today it was fine whole day, though.

Just to say: the main reason I’m holding back on Next is because of the license issues. I have had a lot of issues with other software when working on deadlines and failing license servers. So as long as I read these issues. I will keep using v3 with dongle....as I have been for a very long time without ANY issues.
