error 197 over and over

what do I need to do to prevent this error? It keeps happening every single time I try to render and it used to not be a problem. sometime I hit render 2 times, get the error 2 times and then it works - other times it never works no matter how much I try. nothing has changed on my end. what do I need to do to fix this??? vray next is awesome but this is about to be a deal breaker.

This error usually indicates no licenses or licenses for a different V-Ray version - e.g. you have V-Ray for SketchUp and you try to use the license with V-Ray for 3dsMax.
