  • Can't run PhoenixFD3 for Max 2014 with PhoenixFD4 license?

    Hi,

is it normal that I can't run PhoenixFD3 for Max 2014 with a PhoenixFD4 license?

Max 2014 is the only newer version that can run my old tp5 version and I'd like to use that in conjunction with PhoenixFD. However unfortunately there is no PhoenixFD4 Max2014 version available in my downloads section. Any way to solve that issue?

Many thanks in advance for your efforts.

    Cheers!

I am afraid that there is no Phoenix4 for max2014. This version was dropped for that version.

Thanks a lot for your input, Tomek.

Looks like I mis-worded my initial question somewhat. My actual question is more along the lines of whether or not its normal after upgrading from v3 to v4, that the v4 license does not allow to run the older v3 software I still have installed for that earlier version of Max and if yes, if that can be fixed somehow.

      Cheers!

Are you using the latest license server version? If not - can you try installing it?

Thank you for your suggestion, Ivan. I think the license server I'm using is probably an older one, so I'll try out the latest one.

          Cheers!

Sorry for the delayed feedback response!

Using the latest license server did not fix the issue. PhoenixFD 3 in Max 2014 still tells me it cant get a license, while v4 in Max 2019 works just fine. (using a dongle)

            Cheers!

I see. If you migrate the dongle to online it'll work - https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...icenses+Online
