GUI license error -200

For some reason I am getting this error message when I try to launch vray 5. "GUI license error -200"

If I check online everything looks correct.

Anyone know what that error code means?

I am having the same issue from today, first it was error 190ish now its 98

Hello,

Your screenshot shows that you own V-Ray NEXT licenses. V-Ray NEXT licenses are compatible with V-Ray NEXT (4) builds, you cannot use V-Ray 5 builds. Please install the latest V-Ray NEXT for 3ds Max build, you can download it by checking the "Show all versions" box in our download section.

I feel stupid now, thank you I should have known that. I did what you mentioned but now I am getting a "Could not obtain a license (-197)

Please make sure that you can access the Chaos License server page (http://localhost:30304). If you do not see your licenses there or you cannot reach the license server page, please uninstall the Chaos Group license server and remove any remaining files from the following folder:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\ChaosGroup

Afterwards, download and install the latest Chaos license server 5.5.0 from the following page:

Go to the Chaos License server page (http://localhost:30304), enable your Online/Dongle licensing and tell me if you can see your V-Ray licenses. Send us screenshots from the localhost page to support@chaosgroup.com if you continue to experience this issue.

I've followed all of these suggestions and am still having an issue. I have built a new machine and moved Max 2021 and Vray 5 to it by moving my existing hard drives into the new machine. I installed the license server and am able access my licenses. But, if I reboot, I'm back to the (-200) GPU error. I have to reinstall the license server every time I reboot.

Any ideas?

I have not really encountered such a problem before. Are you using any antivirus software, that might not like the V-Ray service and was not installed previously? In any case, please contact us at support@chaosgroup.com so that we can talk in private. Please send us an email with your account details, a screenshot from the Chaos license server page (http://localhost:3030) and a link to this topic.

I'm having the same problem here. Did you get any solution? When I click on Manage Chaos License Server, I get redirected to the localhost page (http://localhost:30304/) but I'm told that the connection has been denied. I already have checked the firewall settings and not seeing any problems right there.

I just downloaded Vantage and I am getting the same error. It was -200 before, now -197. Chaos products are working fine within 3ds max. No firewall blocking. What gives?
