Cant render... dont know whats going on... Dongle cant be used either... Deadline done - customer will be pissed off now

    Hi Guys.. drives me crazy. I simply switched my Machine to different hardware (moboPLus CPU). Max is starting super ultr slow. first I thought it s about Max - then I recognized, that Vray needs 10 Minutes freeze before i can handle anything in Max and then tell me: Licence cant be found. :
    then I am having lic errors: Could not obtain a license (ยด-200) in Rendersetup and in vray message "Could not obtain a license (-96) ; Having vray Next here and a dongle but I think it won't work anymore. The place where I could change my IP is gone... whats going on? Why don't keep it simple for artists, which don't have time to pain around with this tech stuff?

    (last dys, Internet from our ISP was off.. also here: no render possible.. that is crap. I loved to have my dongle back! Staying independent is so important! It freaked me out... Guys, come on. For other software, you also don't need to be online. Why making us depending on unstable technology? )

    classic vray licensing failure, i missed a deadline a few weeks back due to something similar.
    i couldn't work it out, chaos support was asleep and all i got was some smary user called Lele offering non help.

    i suggest getting a cracked vray as backup and have that installed on a different version of max...really not ideal but when a previously fine licensing system consistently messes up and costs cash it leaves little choice.

    hope you can get it sorted!

      Hello,

      I assume that "I simply switched my Machine to different hardware (moboPLus CPU)." means that you have changed your Motherboard. Changing your motherboard changes your UUID (Universally unique identifier), which our license server uses to identify your machine. You need to activate your Chaos License server once more, after a motherboard change. Please contact us at support@chaosgroup.com and confirm that you can reach the Chaos License server page (http://localhost:30304), send us screenshots from there, if you continue to have issues using V-Ray.

      By default, V-Ray requires a stable internet connection, in order to use your licenses. If your ISP is having issues with providing a stable internet connection, please consider borrowing your online licenses for offline use:
