  • Cannot see vray render menu settings in 3ds max

    Hi,

So I've been using vray with maya and everything works fine. Decided to start using 3ds max and downloaded a trial version of vray for now to see if it would work and I can't seem to get the menu to show in the render settings. There also seems to be a license error. I tried all the solutions I can find online. I managed to check my proxy setting and it still seems to only connect this desktop to vray maya. Does that mean one computer can only have one license? https://imgur.com/jFPqCDu

Tried all the solutions here: https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...roubleshooting but nothing worked.

Here are some screenshotsof 3ds max render menu: https://imgur.com/mKOqIrL

    Thank you!!

    Hello,
In order to try V-Ray for 3ds Max, you will need to apply for a 30-days trial license here:
    https://www.chaosgroup.com/trial/vray-3ds-max
After you apply, you will receive a confirmation e-mail and then your license will appear in the V-Ray license server web status interface "127.0.0.1:30304".
If you are able to see your V-Ray for 3ds Max license there, you can start working with V-Ray for 3ds Max on your machine.
Let me know if the above suggestion helped you.

      Hi Stefan,
Thank you for the quick reply. So yes I did apply for a trial license and received a confirmation email. Went to the license server web status interface and I was only able to see my vray maya license which I do not want to remove as I am still using maya. I just want to add the trial 3ds max to my computer. Is there any way to do that?

      Thanks again!

        Thank you for your confirmation.
It will be best if you send us an e-mail to support@chaosgroup.com, with information of the e-mail address and username tied to your previous license and the currently applied for V-Ray for 3ds Max trial,
also please make a screenshot of the web page "127.0.0.1:30304" and send it to us, so we can check what is the username you are currently activated your license with. After we receive this information,
we will help you further. Thank you.
