We have some students that got PLE licenses for their personal computers for remote learning due to COVID. On campus, we have 100 VRay render node EDU licenses. We want students to be able to batch render their projects, which they would pre-pandemic be able to do because they would have created their projects on our lab computers with the full licenses.
Is there a way for a student to take a Maya project/scene that they created/saved with their VRay PLE license, open it on a computer that has a full VRay Next license and re-save it using that license/"convert" it so that VRay will allow it to be batch rendered/submitted to our render farm (Qube from Pipeline FX)?
Logically/ethically I would think this is possible. Pre-pandemic, they would have been able to just create the project/scene on our lab computers with the VRay EDU license and not need the PLE.
