  • No License showing up on the Chaos Server

    Hello,

I'm trying to install V-Ray 5 onto Maya 2018, for some reason I can't find the v-ray installation (the .exe installation), I keep getting linked to the .zip installation.
So I did the .zip installation instead, set a path, created an environment, combined my .env with the .env already in my maya folder.

When I go into the chaos licensing server, it says that I have no licenses available. I'm kind of new to this and i've never installed a software like this before...

    Please help when you can,
    Thank you.

Could you please do the following in order to clean and re-install the V-Ray Online license server to the latest version 5.5.3 :

    1. Please close the Services window in your OS(if it is opened) and uninstall the V-Ray Online license server from your Start menu>Control Panel> Add remove programs
    2. Make sure to delete the folder C:\Program Files\Chaos Group\VRLService
    3. Go to the folder "C:\Program Files\Common Files\ChaosGroup" and delete all files and folders except "vrlclient.xml", which is needed.
Please download and install the latest V-Ray Online license server 5.5.3 from our web site:
    https://download.chaosgroup.com/?platform=47&product=48

After the installation is completed, please check if the V-Ray Online license server status page "127.0.0.1:30304" is available and you are able to click "Online licensing" >Sign In and enter your credentials.

Note: If the zip installation is not working, you can try installing the regular .exe file here:
    https://download.chaosgroup.com/down...2018-50022-adv

If any issue appears, please send us a screenshot of it.

Let me know if the above suggestion helped you.

Hello, it seems that whenever I try to render I keep getting an error message:

"// Error: Could not obtain an interface license (-200): -200: The ChaosGroup License Server could not be reached."

I am able to see my license on the server but unable to render. My connection is via "Automatic Proxy Detection" should I be using HTTP proxy?

        Thanks again

If V-Ray license server is installed locally on your machin, please check and make sure to set to point to "localhost" or "127.0.0.1":

Let me know if that helped you.
