vray crashing max when internet connection fails

since some time we have one internet connection error every two weeks, internet dsl connection usually reconnects after some minutes. but vray imediately refuses to work while rendering and even more crashes max. i cant believe vray constantly needs internet connection for licensing????? Is there any installation error here? we use one vray License server 5.5.3 · Build 189448

running on win server 2016 essential.

It would be best to contact our support directly indeed. Other than that, you can borrow your license locally if you follow these steps: https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...or+Offline+Use

It will also be very helpful if you can get us the crash dump file which is usually called 3dsmax_minidump.dmp in your temporary Windows folder (you can type %temp% in Windows Explorer to go there).
