vray collection workstation license slow to relase

hello, im working remotely while on holiday. Some times l login to my pc at home and use vray and some times i use vray locally on my laptop. I find that vray is very slow to free up once i have shut down maya from a certain location. Is there a polling rate of somethng i can change so that it releases earlier from both locations. Its very frustrating as its slowing me down considerablly?
