  • V-Ray licenses: some lost, some not working

    Not again.

I wonder what's happening this time. I see a license, but it doesn't work. Then I don't see my V-Ray 7 render node licenses, but they are working fine. Yet another awkward phone conversation with a client ahead due to Chaos licensing system.

I wonder when mankind manages to develop working licensing system.

Well I have no way to tell what licenses you have from a post in the forums but if you have a subscription then your subscription render node will not show in the V-Ray for 3ds Max section. It will be in its own V-Ray Render node section. Also there will be no V-Ray 7 for 3ds Max GUI License but V-Ray Universal in V-Ray Collection section. In general if you have licensing problems the best way to get them sorted is to open a support ticket.

      Thanks,

Actually now I see the render node license. The problem is that my VRay UI license is missing and it Can be seen on my screenshot. The interface is available, but the workstation is not using it. What do I need to to to make the workstation see it?
