  • Rhino 8 Vray Unable to acquire V-Ray for Rhino GUI License

Windows 11 Home. Bitdefender Antivirus Plus. Rhino 8. Latest Vray.

This has been an ongoing issue for me for a while.

I keep getting this error message when I open rhino and try to use vray

Unable to acquire V-Ray for Rhino GUI License!
    Unknown license error (10061).

If I close Rhino and reinstall the license server I can then use Vray, but the very next time I close rhino and open it I once again get this error. It's becoming a bit tedious to have to reinstall the server everytime I want to use Vray.

I have followed most of the forum suggestions.
I've deleted the VRLService and common files only has chaos cosmos and vrlclient in it.
I uninstalled and reinstalled, making sure to turn off activate during install in the advanced tab.
I have gone to localhost:30304 and signed in.
I've run wmic csproduct get UUID in the command prompt and it returned D3385F73-B10C-480A-A0F2-C4C6E6DBE11D.

    Hi,

Check your startup apps and make sure all Chaos apps are enabled on Windows startup:

If they are not, enable them, restart your PC and test V-Ray again.
