Vray license server doesn't start when server reboots

In my organization, the Vray license server is running on a central server. Every time that server is rebooted, the license server does not start. I have to then call the IT guys and they have to do it manually...

• How can they make sure the license server does start automatically?
• Alternatively, can they make the license local to my pc to avoid the whole issue?

Hello, since version 6.0 the license server works as a process instead of a service. That leads to the problem when you sign out from the Windows Server/Workstation where the license server is installed it stops the process hence the license server no longer functions. Currently the workaround is to download and install version 5.5.6 of the license server which is the latest working as a service. That way signing out of the Windows Server will not stop the license server work. The option for working as a service will be re introduced in future update.

Do you have an estimate when this will be released? I got a reply that the IT department would rather not downgrade the software because of possible other issues..

Currently I don't have any information when that update will be released.
