  • License comes and goes

I have 3DS MAX 2018 and VRay 3.60.03 and for me the license comes and goes of it's own free will, I seem to have no control over whether I can render ok or if it will crash when saving. It is making life very un-productive. Is there a fix for this please?

Does that happen with every scene or with certain scenes only.
If upgrading the drivers and the license server does not help - could you send us a mail at support@chaosgroup.com. You can attach the 3dsmax mindump (by default created in %temp%) - https://knowledge.autodesk.com/searc...F4568-htm.html

Thanks all, I've updated to 3.60.04 and it seems to be ok so far. If it happens again then I will email you, thank you.

Morbid Angel, uUpdating the license server didn't work, not even 4.5.1, I didn't get around to updating the WIBU drivers as I saw the new release and went for that first.

Ivan, it was every scene, but with the new release it seems to be ok, if it happens again I will send over an email. Many thanks

as a follow up to this, the solution could be as simple as a faulty usb port. Putting the dongle in a different port seems to solve the issue.
