  • Sketchup license not working

    Hello,

Everything was working just fine today, I didn't install any updates, anything that could cause the problems with a license server, but when I open sketchup I get an error - failed to checkout V-Ray GUI license.
Then I opened localhost:30304 and everything was fine there. And after that I tried in sketchup few more times and then it opened a vray screen. Started rendering and then my PC froze. And so I repeated this process a few times and each time I start a render my PC freezes after some time.
Now even in localhost:30304 everything looks fine, I just can't open vray in sketchup at all. I'm getting - failed to checkout V-Ray GUI license. I tried reinstalling license server, didn't help.
Then I tried on my laptop where everything is completely the same, and even localost:30304 is working, I just can't get vray in sketchup to open. I'm getting on my two PCs this GUI license error.

Everything was working just fine this morning, I didn't change a thing on my PCs.
I need to render something urgently and I can't!

Does this have something to do with the release of Vray Next?

    Edit:
just tried a different internet connection, same problem...
    Thanks.
    Filip

    Update:
1/1 sketchup Interface licenses are activated, and someone is using it and I don't know who. https://www.dropbox.com/s/3frric2hwc...53_05.png?dl=0
In my.chaosgroup.com I have 3 PCs listed (all mine) and this unknown PC is not listed there.
I've changed my password for my chaosgroup acc and I've logged in again, but that interface license is still engaged.
Is it possible I was hacked somehow? But why I don't see that PC listed on my.chaosgroup.com

    Thanks

As far as I can see you've activated the license server on 3 computers, is it possible that the license is engaged on some of them? I don't think it's possible to hack it, the certificate authentication that the license server uses is similar to the one applied in Online banking. It's possible, however, for someone else to use your credentials if your password has leaked in some way - you can change it. The IP address you're seeing is just some external IP - the computer that's behind it might be on your local network or somewhere else.

It wasn't engaged on any of them. My laptop was turned off at the time (until I turned it on to see if there is something wrong with my PC), my other PC is just a slave for rendering - I don't have a sketchup installed there at all, so it leaves just one PC.
I called your support that morning, but at the time your support returned me a call, it fixed itself.

        Thanks.
