  • VRLService refuses to start, citing a timeout

I've been attempting to get the VRay trial up and running for a while now, and I keep ending up with the VRLService refusing to cooperate.

    So far I've tried:

    - Uninstalling - Reinstalling (several times)
    - Installing the official 5.0.1 license server vs the one that comes with the VRay installer (dunno if they're the same actually)
    - Checking our Antivirus for any blocks (company workstation)
    - ServicesPipeTimeout regedit "hack"
    - Threatening the PC

I just cannot get the service to start. What am I missing...?

    Hello,

Can you please e-mail us the following information to support@chaosgroup.com :
    1. The exact version of your Operating system (in case it is Windows 10 please let us know what is the last Windows update that you got)
    2. The logs from "C:\Program Files\Common Files\ChaosGroup\logs"

Also can you please try running "C:\Program Files\Chaos Group\VRLService\OLS\vrol.exe" from the command line and let us know if that works or if it yields any errors.
