VRay Next Licence Server Problems

Hi

I just purchased VRay Next for 3ds max today and installed it and the licence server but, the licence server isn't working, below is a list of the things I am experiencing;
1. The VRLService will not run as a Service in windows 7
2. When I try to open the V-Ray license server status web page by typing localhost:30304, I get the error shown in the attached
3. When trying to do an Offline activation, it requires an Activation Request File to be uploaded however, I don't know where to download this file.

As usual, I have a deadline so if anyone has any suggestions, let me know.

You can check if updates are correctly installed in Windows, especially SP1. Offline activation is not good in this case, you need a running license server instance anyway.

Service Pack 1 for Windows 7 is installed. What else can I do to get VRay running ?

Seems that "C:\Windows\System32\wbem" was missing from PATH environment variable.

http://localhost:30304/#/bundle/vray30max cannot be reached i have a big project do to next week and i cant finish it. can this problem be fixed

I`m running win7 x 64 too, and have same problems with licence server 5 or above. basically it will never launch the service, not from windows services, not from cmd line manually . It`s errors out on "error 1053 the server did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion". I was not able to resolve this with support. Long story short - if somebody is having this problem,you can resolve it by using old licence server version 4.5.1. With this old server i`m still able to run/use both 3.6 and Next licences.

Can you please clear your browser cache and try to open the page again. Also please try opening the page with another browser.

If that does not work please send us a screenshot from the main page at http://localhost:30304 and the logs from http://localhost:30304/logs/download to support@chaosgroup.com

We do not recommend using an older version of the V-Ray License Server although we can suggest to downgrade to a previous version as part of the troubleshooting process. Please note that the "error 1053" is a general error related to starting a Windows service and it does not give enough information to determine what is causing the issue. Please try adding the "C:\Windows\System32\wbem" to the PATH environment variable and check if you are still getting an error with the newest release of the license server.

If that does not work please send us the logs from "C:\Program Files\Common Files\ChaosGroup\logs" and we will investigate further. In the meantime you can use version 4.5.1 as a temporally solution.

I had a crash during rendering and the original problem I had at the beginning of this thread is back. I need to add "C:\Windows\System32\wbem" to PATH environment variable but could you confirm exactly what I need to do ?

In the Environment Variables dialogue box, do I create a new System Variable with Variable name as "PATH" and the Variable value as "C:\Windows\System32\wbem" ?

Hello,

Please open the Environment Variables window, then find the PATH variable listed in the system variables (it should already contain a few values like the path to System32 for example, please do not remove any of the existing values).
Check if the \wbem is not already in the list. If it is not then please add it at the end - it should be separated from the previous value with a ; (example: ";C:\Windows\System32\wbem")

Additionally please install the latest version of the Chaos Group License Server afterwards (5.1.2): https://download.chaosgroup.com/license-server

I did as you mentioned but when trying to install the current Licence Server I get the following error;

[SC] OpenService FAILED 1060:
The specified service does not exist as an installed service.

Hello,

The error that you get usually occurs if you had a services.msc window opened during the setup. Please make sure that services.msc is closed then run the license server setup again.
