Pdplayer changes brightness of exported video

HI,

We use pdplayer often to convert to mov or mpg formats. When doing that converted video becomes visibly darker and more contrasted than the one in the pdplayer window. Almost looks like a gamma issues. I tried adjusting gamma but can't find accurate setting.
Is there any preference setting or what else can I do to remedy this problem?

I think this is part of the Quicktime encoder; PDPlayer itself passes proper data to Quicktime. I tried to look this up on Google a while back, as it's a general Quicktime encoding issue in other applications too, but I'm not sure there was a good solution.
