  • Not able to play .mp4 or .mov files

Hello. Our studio recently upgraded from an older version of PDPlayer (1.0.6.35) to version 1.0.7.41. We also migrated all of our production PC's from Windows 7 to Windows 10 (version 1903).

In PDPlayer version 1.0.6.35, we were able to open movie container formats such as .mov and .mp4 without any issues, but we are no longer able to open these files after the latest upgrades.

It's worth noting that I am still able to open movie files in v1.0.6.35 on my laptop (Dell XPS 9570 running Win10 v1803)

Any thoughts on what might be going wrong?

    Thanks,

    -dp-

PDPlayer can read formats as long as they have an appropriate codec for decoding. In the case of .mov and .mp4 files, you would need to install QuickTime to be able to open them.

I have tried every export and I can't play my animation outside of the PDPlayer. What do I have to do?

What format are you exporting to? Do you have QuickTime installed?

I have found that I can't export 100%. Anything 99% or below works.
