I've done some test render in stereo in Max with Vray !
    It works within max.

When i import the JPG in Pdplayer it doesn't work automaticaly as said in the help file !
    Any trick ?

    Dear Sir,

Pdplayer needs two different files with certain key words in the name in order to set up the stereoscopic view automatically.

The following words are recognized: "left", "Left", "LEFT", "L", "lf", "LF" identify the left view

"right", "Right", "RIGHT", "R", "rt", "RT" identify the right view

Once Pdplayer has identified both views it will automatically set up the stereoscopic composition.
In the case with V-Ray this will not work automatically because it renders one file with the two views placed side by side. In order to be able to preview your rendering inside Pdplayer you will need to render the left and right channels separately and name them accordingly so that Pdplayer can recognize that they are actually the two channels of a stereoscopic image.

    Hope that answers your question!

    Best Regards
    Jimmy

But i use SXR image style ! Rendered directly on VR VBF in Max it works.
      Doesn't when loaded in PDplayer

How do you save your renderings to SXR images? Are you sure that the image you save has two channels - one for each view, or is it just the two views placed next to each other and you just have the extension of the file set as SXR? If when you load the file in Pdplayer you see the two views side by side this means that you don't have the two channels separated and therefore you cannot view the stereoscopic image.

If you want to view your stereoscopic sequences in Pdplayer - render each view as a separate sequence and name them with the appropriate key words. Than you can just add them in Pdplayer and it will automatically set up the composition.

        Regards
        Jimmy

In Vray i render the two views placed next to each other.
The Vray VBF allows to display this in stereocopic mode (red/cyan).

Don't understand with PDplayer can't do the same from such a image ?
THat is a pain to render both views in separate files

Pdplayer should be perfectly integrated to all Chaos Group software no ?

          Thanks for helping

Until this feature is implemented in Pdplayer you can use this workaround to automate the process

Open Notepad and paste following lines of commands:

            --target_view=left
            --crop=-640,0,1280,720
            --position=640,0
            --layer_duplicate
            --target_view=right
            --crop=640,0,1280,720
            --position=-640,0
            --stereo_view=both
            --stereo_mode=anaglyph

Save the text document with .pdpcmd extension
In Pdplayer load your image and execute the .pdpcmd file (File - Execute Command File...)
You can also bind it to a shortcut.

Note that the resolution in this example is 2560x720 (1280x720 for each eye)
You will need to make different .pdpcmd files for different resolutions.

            Hope this helps
