Pdplayer 64 1.0.5.1 slow and crashing all the time

I have just installed the new version of Pdplayer.
I am finding it unusable.
It is slow and erratic in cashing, freezing then playing then freezing.
Layer you have selected become lock so you can’t select any other layer.
You have to kill the programme in task manager and restart.
It was working fine before the upgrade, was hoping for some workflow improvements.
I think I am going to uninstall it.
Anyone have an answer to these problems?

Which operating system are you using? Do you have troubles running other applications in general?

That's odd; I can't think of anything in 1.0.5.21 that could cause it. If you go back to 1.0.5.9 or 1.0.4.17 does the problem disappear?

I tried going back but ran into licencing problems.
Re installed the latest one.
Hasn't crashed yet but still slow in caching from the last version.
