  • PDPlayer PS link?

I don't own PDPlayer mainly because I work on stills. But I was just looking at a video and can see the usefulness/potential of such a program for even that. I'm getting excited about the upcoming VRay 2.0 release.

Currently, working with .exrs on layers within PS is a pain. You have to spend a decent amount of time with blending modes, and there doesn't seem to be one solid working method.

I was wondering if you have, or if it would be useful to have a link between PDPlayer and PS on still images in order to be able to adjust the images and dump them directly within PS, saving a few steps.

Does that make sense or am I just being lazy?

    Hi,

I can see how this can be useful. But the only way I see to link to PS would be for Pdplayer to export a PSD file... but it would be an 8 bit PSD because this is how Pdplayer works internally, so it wouldn't be very useful for EXR work, for which you'll need a float PSD.

Truthfully, after my initial exposure adjustment, I end up working in 8-bit most of the time anyways.
