    Hey all,

In today's nightlies (revision 28187) there are builds for 3ds Max 2019.

Please ping us if you find anything has changed or is not working

    Cheers!

      Hey,

Are you using the vray3, vray4, or defscanline build? Can you give me a bit more info on what happens - e.g. the plugin doesn't load, displays a message, the simulation or the rendering has a certain problem, etc?

      Thanks!

          Sorry, of course.
Using vray4: The plugin failed to initialize at the start on both computers

Actually, it is the plugin inside vrayPlugins that fails, it looks like the rest of phoenix isn't installed at all...?

Did you get a PhoenixFD build for V-Ray 4? Sounds like you are trying to install a Phoenix build for V-Ray 3.

There must be something wrong with my computers, I can't get phoenix to install properly. Even the standard install for 2018 is not working...
It may have to do with the silent install that I did recently, but why is the UI version of the install also not working?

Can you show us the log from the installer?

                    Hi,

Which V-Ray 4 build are you using? Phoenix FD nightlies with ID 28170 and above are intended for Beta 3, so if you are still using Beta 1 or 2 the Phoenix FD plugin will fail to initialize.

                        I install the proper files...
It doesn't work in 2018 as well now, it has to be something on my computers. But what???

Hey, thanks for the log! Everything seems installed properly - the phoenixfd.dlr should be in vrayplugins when installing the V-Ray Phoenix and one folder above in case of Scanline. This is the main Phoenix plugin.

Note that, as Nikola said, if you are using a V-Ray 4 nightly, it won't work - you need the official Beta 3 build from chaosgroup.com.

Are you using V-Ray Next with Max 2018 as well? Did it work with Phoenix previously or did only V-Ray 3 work with Phoenix on Max 2018 on your machines? Also, does the error message say 'phoenixfd.dlr' or some other file name?
