  • Getting Mesh Output as a mesh?

Is it possible to export the mesh as an animated triangle mesh somehow using the Mesh render option? I tried using xMesh but that didn't work. Is the mesh limited to the Vray render session?

    Hello,

If you are in 3dsmax, the last rollout of the simulator is called "Export", set the dropdown to Mesh and export the mesh as alembic.
In Maya, under the Rendering rollout > Mesh > choose Maya mesh and export that as Alembic.

Alembic is not editable though, right?

You should be able to edit the alembic in both Max and Maya.
